Grays Mews in Hamilton Street, Watford, is a collection of nine attractive three-bedroom homes. A prime location and close to all local amenities, Grays Mews is within walking distance of Watford High Street, Watford General Hospital and the Vicarage Road football stadium. The setting also benefits from being close to local parks and large green open spaces.
The communication links for Grays Mews are excellent, with the train from Watford Junction to London Euston taking just 19 minutes, and major road networks including the M1 and M25 being just a 15-minute drive away.
The development required a connection to the distribution network for the site as a whole and two individual services from the existing gas main in the public highway. A new site gas main was installed, along with seven individual connections and nine smart meters.
The work was carried out adjacent to a narrow street, which had on-street parking. This created a challenge whilst working in the highway and careful management was required by Express Utilities. The site itself was very tight for space, which meant that the work needed to be coordinated with other activities taking place on site. All of the gas utilities work was carried out and completed within two weeks.
